Peter Mancini is a seasoned Data Scientist who ignored his father’s advice about starting yet another Startup, with an interest in natural language processing, physics, and computational methods for mathematical models. Over the years, he has become proficient in using languages such as Julia, R, Python, Clojure, and various Javascript libraries for data understanding and visualization.
He founded A8A8 in June 2022 and served as the Principal Data Scientist and VP at Citizens Bank prior to that, where he spearheaded numerous innovative data science projects. Earlier, Peter held the role of a Science Advisor and Data Scientist at cicayda for eight years, defining the analytical model for the company's litigation support tools and developing novel systems for document analysis.
From 2015 to 2017, he also worked as a Data Scientist at VGT, utilizing extensive data from gaming machines to enhance the company's revenue-sharing model. He ventured into entrepreneurship in 2009, providing consultancy in natural language processing techniques to governments and corporations.
Peter's professional journey began at Digital Reasoning, Inc., where he developed methods for testing AI systems and interfacing with the U.S. Army. He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management from Northeastern University. Known for his exceptional communication skills, Peter is always open to discuss data science projects and ideas.
